it was super to get to sleep in today. some of the best sleep jeromy and i have had in a while, actually. not much has been going on…

jeromy made a couple of passes up and down the street yesterday to get more toilet paper that had blown off our tree (the record for distance travel? two streets down.). my family came over and helped with the last bit of cleaning and also scraped the cars. it was really nice to have them over and help us get everything back to normal so that we could relax and start our honeymoon. they also brought over an awesome cabinet for our dining room… we’re so stoked to fill it with dishes and such. after we finally got done with the house yesterday evening, we opened our wedding gifts. we received some really awesome and thoughtful things… jeromy’s coworkers made us a BEAUTIFUL quilt with our names and wedding date on it. one of my former coworkers, karen, gave us a set of pyrex bowls from the 1940s/1950s and said she was passing them down to continue a tradition. the colors are gorgeous and we were so touched by the sweetness of it.

today, we went and used the target gift cards to finish buying things to complete our bedding sets. we had received the comforters for the shower but still needed the shams, bedskirts, etc. to finish off the guest room and bedroom. we snatched up the final pieces (literally – the last shams were on clearance and on their way out). we went to lunch and had some rockin’ mexican food. we also went and got jeromy’s phone replaced… it stopped working on saturday.

daddy called tonight to see how we were doing. he and my grandmother want to send jeromy and i to a bed and breakfast of our choice this week so that we can have a fun little trip and a relaxing time away from home. we’re excited.

it’s snowing outside and looks absolutely gorgeous. we have pizza on the way. it’s going to be a nice and cozy evening. we’ve started a group on flickr for our wedding photos… http://www.flickr.com/groups/takingtheleap/. if anyone has wedding photos they would like to add, please feel free to. i have some from my mom’s camera that i’ll probably post tonight.
