things for the wedding finally feel like they are getting taken care of. nina and i went dress shopping and were successful in finding an amazing black dress for her. she looks bangin’ in it and ’twill be beautiful. i’m so excited. the invitations were also mailed out today… rawk. sometime next week, our guests will be opening little red envelopes and finding out all of the details for the wedding. i’m so happy. it feels real now.
on the way to mom’s house this morning, my car was driving along just fine and then all of a sudden, everything just goes on me. the engine stops… and i’m quickly losing speed. my power steering goes… the brakes feel funny. i turn on my emergency lights and get over onto the shoulder of the highway. when it was all said and done, we think that my timing belt has gone out. it sounded simple enough, but apparently, this is quite an involved little part to replace. it’s also possible that my engine was jacked up when the belt broke. we just don’t know right now. i’m stressed… this is SO not what i needed right now. i’m on the verge of a wedding and just bought a house… not the best financial time to have a potentially large auto expense. 
 the car has been towed to my house and is sitting there… mocking me. i take my ability to drive for granted. now that i don’t have a working vehicle, i feel like quite a loser. so yeah.
the lack of car severely put a damper on my plans to be productive today. luckily for me, jeromy was feeling super productive and got my bedroom set up and the rest of the stuff from my apartment moved over today while i was working on invitations at mom’s house. jeromy and the boys (sarge and hambone) also moved the washer and dryer over today, which is awesome – i’ve been needing to do laundry in a mega bad way. i’m currently editing pictures for red brick… i have some sets to get out from a while back. some of the pictures are actually pretty good… i think i’m getting better at all of this. we’ll just see, though.
i bought an attacking polar bear toy set the other night at walmart for $5. it was on sale and i couldn’t resist. the bear has a missile… need i say more?

[...] this weekend turned out to be quite productive yet more stressfull than i would have liked. saturday morning, mandy’s car died on the way to her mom’s house. hopefully the parts will be cheap and brandon and i can do the work so we’ll skate by for a coupe hundred dollars.
after getting mandy’s car towed to the house, her dad took her to their house to work on our wedding invitations with her mom. i went and moved the rest of the boxes to the house and then went and picked up new hoses for the washing machine after finding out that the rubber hoses i have now leak.
