i have no excuse for not blogging except that i’ve seriously never been so busy… so below (in no particular order) are some notable events …

• on december 14th, we closed on the house. jeromy and i waited for the house to fund on friday so we could get the key. we walked around lowe’s and went to starbucks. we got word that the key was waiting for us and we dashed over to the office. when we arrived at the house, jeromy carried me over the threshold and we were home. since then, we haven’t gotten much done as far as progress goes… we’ve been so busy with other things. the goal is to move me in soon so i can start setting up house. we’ll probably move a lot of jeromy’s stuff over since he has a storage unit full of things that he doesn’t need daily. we have several rooms we want to paint… we’re making one of the spare bedrooms into an office and it will be painted green and gold in tribute of the dallas stars. we’ll get some neat hockey stuff to hang on the walls. we’re making a spare bedroom in the other room and will paint it a nice light blue. the main bathroom is currently painted a lime green, which will be changing to white. the kitchen is a mint green, which i’m not too fond of. we’re painting it taupe with accent walls of chocolate brown. we also just ordered some new flooring for the kitchen and entry way, which should be here by the end of the month. we have tons to do on the house and ideally, i’d like to be done with the painting and big projects before i move in. i’m taking some time off around new years so that jeromy and i can knock out some of these tasks. we’re stoked… i love the house more and more each time i visit. it’s going to rock. we’ll post some pictures of it soon… in its current state. hopefully we’ll have some great “after” photos to show off soon.
• the wedding is in less than 2.5 months. dude. it’s amazing how time flies. things are getting done, though… susan helped me to get flowers and stuff ordered. cakes are done and ordered. two of my bridesmaids have their dresses. i went dress shopping with nina a couple of weeks ago and we came up empty handed. but it was a lot of fun. we’re going to head out soon and try again.
• i went to houston today. nothing big… but i do find it funny that three months ago, i had never flown and now i’ve flown like three or four times. craaaaazy. i didn’t even need a jacket in houston today… gotta love these texas decembers.

a lot more than that has happened, but just wanted to follow up on the major things. g’night.
