eleven.
that’s the number of houses jeromy and i looked at today. but we found something we love. like make-us-feel-tingly-inside love… it’s in a cul-de-sac in a nice neighborhood. the layout is terrific. it has three bedrooms plus an area off the living room that could be used as an office. there is a huge yard that has a storage shed and a new fence. it backs up to a utility easement and greenbelt area, which means that the view out the back will forever be at trees and not other houses. the master bathroom is like a spa… jetted tub, double vanities, standup shower, etc. the master closet has had custom shelving and rods put in… with rolling drawers for belts, etc. and a built in, rolling laundry hamper… it’s amazing. the home itself is a lot newer than most of the houses we’ve been looking at, so it’s in a lot better shape and will probably have lower utilities. the previous owners have kids, so the bedrooms were painted bright colors, so we’ll need to repaint some rooms, but other than that, it’s going to be a great fit for us. we brought our families to see our “top three” picks of the day. it was nice to have them along and to have their input. our realtor made a call and we found out that an offer has been made on the house, but the sellers didn’t like the offer and counter offered, and that’s where that stands. nothing has been signed and no commitments have been made so we submitted our offer. we hope to hear back tomorrow. both jeromy and i have our fingers crossed. and our toes. if you want to cross your fingers, too… that would rock.
it’s past my bedtime but i’m up and miserable. since being diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome the other week, i’ve been on glucophage to help get everything under control. at this point, with my levels as they are, the doctor told me that i wouldn’t be able to get pregnant. and while that’s not an issue right now, jeromy and i do want to try to have a family within the next few years. i go back in early january to see if things have improved. so that’s great – i’m optimistic that the treatment will work and things will be fine. but ever since i’ve been on this pill, i’ve been experiencing severe nausea. it’s normal, from what i read online, and it’s supposed to go away in a few weeks. i’m really feeling sick and bloated tonight from digestive issues and am uncomfortable. not fun.
the wedding is in three months. super fun. i’ve been hounding jeromy to get addresses from people so that we can think about getting invitations out at the end of the month. it’s so cool to be at this point… to where we’ll get people invited and it’s going to be this actual real event all of a sudden. we even may register for some basic, always-in-stock stuff soon. i’m going to austin next weekend to go dress shopping with one of my bridesmaids. after that, i’ll just need to go shopping with nina, my maid of honor, and i’ll be done with all of the dresses for the girls.
i started to do a little christmas shopping yesterday, which is something i adore doing. one of my favorite things is to buy my loved ones gifts, so you can only imagine the multiple joys i get during the christmas season. hooray! the music, the giving, etc. just makes me tickled all over.
“i call cranberries the ninja fruit…” i really gotta stop watching tv and go to bed. but all the stupid house decoration shows on hgtv are drowning out the gurgles of my tummy.
i feel like a bloated whale that needs to throw up. heh.
