the house we put an offer on last week didn’t work out. come to find out, the house was “flipped”… and to make a long story short, lots of lenders don’t like that. all these anti flip rules and stuff. but it was a blessing in disguise. the house we had put an offer on was in lewisville… and the bump in the process made us re-examine our choice. neither one of us wanted to move that far from our families. sure - staying in the mid cities means a long drive to work… but we don’t want a trip to mom’s be an hour or anything of the sort. so we resumed our search last night and found a wonderful little home in euless. it’s better than any of the houses we’ve found… we looked at larger/newer homes, but we love this older, remodeled home that is in an established neighborhood. the owners have done a terrific job redoing the house … wood floors, beautiful kitchen, etc. so we made an offer and should hear back tomorrow. i’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is the one. jeromy and i both really like this house… a lot. on top of everything, i found out that my personal trainer lives six houses down from the property, so that rocks. my trainer is a doll and i love talking to her. we’ve been meaning to get together outside of the gym to hang since we get along so well. knowing that i’d have a built-in buddy in the neighborhood just puts the icing on the cake. but it’s in god’s hands and i know that we’ll end up wherever we’re supposed to be.
jeromy’s leaving town this weekend to go to california for a week. i’m certainly going to miss the guy. i’m looking forward to hanging out with my mom, grandma, and aunt, though - should be a fun get together for us girls.
i really thought i had more to blog about, but i guess i don’t. oh yeah - jeromy and i are going to have a site for our wedding information. after that, we’re going to combine blogs into one site. more to come on that soon.
