i’m working from home tomorrow, as i have an ortho appointment in the morning and a doctor appointment in the afternoon. luckily, it won’t be crazy for work, so i can afford to check tasks off at my leisure.
last weekend rocked. like it was probably one of the funnest i’ve had in a good long time. on friday night, nina, hambone, neo, jenny, josh, jeromy, and i all went to the cutting edge haunted house after enjoying a good dinner together. even though it wasn’t that scary, i still somehow managed to be a wreck through the whole thing. i was all nerves due to my high anxiety and held hands with jeromy and nina through the whole thing. i had to yell at the scary people so that i could acknowledge them before they tried to jump out and scare me. the coolest part was the bubble room we went through at the end… we were covered in over our heads with soap bubbles. on saturday, i went to the gun range (even though i tried to weasel my way out of it at first, thinking that sleep was more important). saturday evening, i shot a wedding at the botanic gardens. sunday afternoon, i spent a bit of time with jeromy’s family at the pumpkin patch. i mainly walked around and took pictures of the kids. so it was a good weekend.
jeromy and i are tossing around the idea of getting a house. i even visited with a loan officer today. we should be finding out more in the upcoming days. nothing definite. we both like the idea of starting a home and all, and i’m all about not wasting money on rent. the idea that i could be in a house again in a matter of months is rather exciting to me. i’d love to have a yard for bacon to run around in… yep.
the weather finally cooled. thank goodness… i was starting to think autumn would never come (even though we’re sitting in late october already). the wedding is just four months away - man, that’s nuts. we’re both so excited. whee! guess what we get to do next month? go to a cake testing. i have never been to one, and the idea of eating lots of free cake sound superb.
i might start christmas shopping soon. i like to have the bulk of it done by thanksgiving, so i need to get up on it. i know i jump the gun on it, but i just like knocking it out before the malls and stores get so dang crowded. i walked through walgreens yesterday, though… and the christmas wrap aisle was already set up. i think it’s a bit excessive… and this is coming from someone who loves christmas a whole bunch.
time for bed. actually… way past time for bed.
