stayed home from work today with a stomach bug. i woke up and was immediately aware that it wasn’t going to be a good day. i wound up working a good chunk of the day from bed and managed to get a bit done. i’ll have to hit it hard for the rest of the week, though. there’s lots to do. bleh.

the weekend was busy. on friday night, jeromy and i went to the taste of dallas. we saw woodbelly perform (of which cas haley is part of). they were amazingly great. as a group, they just flow and are passionate. after the show, we got a cd and had the band sign it. each one was willing to chat with us for a bit and they all seemed grateful about the recent recognition they have been receiving.

i shot a wedding on saturday. it was small, intimate, and nice. i see weddings a lot, and i love being able to have a sneek peak at such a fun time in someone’s life. as silly as it seems, when i walk away from a wedding, i feel reminded about all the good and important things in this world - family, friends, laughter, love, etc. super fun.

i moved apartments on sunday. the whole crew (jeromy, the howard family, the samson family, momma lackey, and neo) all came and helped me haul all of my stuff. i still need to unpack, but it’s such a relief to get everything to my new place. all that remains is my desk and sofas, which we’ll get later this week i think. we went swimming afterwards, so that was good.

the simpsons movie comes out soon - oh, man - i can’t wait. ’twill be excellent.
