a refreshing and productive night at home today. folded my laundry, hung all my clothes, took out the trash, paid all my bills for the month, and balanced my checkbook. i haven’t been this put together in over a month, and it feels good to center myself again. it’s horrible that my ability to think clearly sometimes is directly tied to the state of my apartment. i’m barely home these days, so evenings like this are good.

the job is still going well. i went to the fort worth office for the first time today and met all the people over there. everyone was nice. i took over an empty office all day … there were fingerprints all over the two monitors in front of me – i don’t know why, but it bothered me. heh. other than that, it was all good. learned a bunch – i’m lucky to be working with someone that is willing to be patient and teach me things. i’m having to get used to taking the reigns – something i haven’t really had the opportunity to do in this manner before.

kyle got back from italy and he and i talked about his trip some tonight. he had a blast and i’m tickled that he was able to get out and broaden his horizons. the conversation reminded me that i need to start thinking about incorporating new experiences into my life. pretty soon, i’m going to have the resources to travel and see more of the world than what is included in my area code. i feel like things are setting up right now – and i’m looking forward to seeing what lies ahead.
