this weekend has been wonderful.  i took off part of friday early from work and went with mom and my grandma to go christmas decoration shopping.  i scored all sorts of cool stuff for my apartment (this is going to be their birthday gift to me this year).  i’m so set… i’m doing a burgandy and gold theme to go with my interior decor.  i think it’s going to look great when it’s all said and done.  on friday night, jeromy and i met momma l and susan for dinner at a mexican food place.  always a good time.

on saturday, i was running around everywhere.  i got some new clothes for work.  i took bacon to the groomers, where she got all pretty.  there’s some other stuff, too, but i’ve forgotten it all now.  i stayed up late working on a talk for church.  church today rocked my face off.  we had some people visiting that performed some musical numbers for the congregation - very moving and powerful.  i was blown away by the talent of these people.  all i can say is wow.  my little 15 minute talk went great - i really enjoyed the experience.  the program overall was really great and spiritual, and this feeling was echoed by several members.  sunday school was about isaiah, which is one of my favorite books.  the whole lesson centered around identifying the characteristics and attributes of christ throughout isaiah.  some really good insights came out of it.  it was just good.  one of my friends at church got engaged this last week - and while i’ll miss her in the singles ward after her wedding, i am super happy for her.

jeromy and i hung out with neo some this afternoon.  then this evening, jeromy and i went to my boss’ house for barbeque.  my boss had won a silent auction to have a country singer come to her house and perform and so, she invited our whole work group along with a bunch of her friends to her home.  it was fantastic.  jeromy actually knew the performer’s music and i had recognized some of the songs, too.  it was a really cool atmosphere and we both had a great time.

susan got a great dane this weekend… really cool dog.  she’s a year and a half old and is black and white.  she’s a sweetheart … oh yeah, and she is freakin’ huge.  jeromy wants a great dane one day.  i’m hoping bacon will get to meet susan’s dog next week.  it’ll be hilarious methinks.  heh.
