i made a little, simple website for my wedding photography attempt. and i thought that if anything, i could throw it up on the interweb and see if anyone in the dfw area is interested in my services. i shared the link with some friends and everyone came back with the same question… “why red cow photography?” i thought, “why not?” it’s memorable. and oh-so-mandy-esque. and i thought it was original… until i did some surfing this afternoon (after i published my website) and found out that there is a “red cow photo” in england that does wedding photography. i didn’t know whether to be glad that i’m not the only nut who thought the name was appropriate or to be bummed that my idea was already taken. so, now… i’m wondering if i should plug on with “red cow photography” since the similarly named organization is across the pond or if i need to come up with something else (which will also probably be taken). *sigh* who would have thought that such a random name/association would have been such a hit?

i’m diggin’ the laptop. jeromy has been hookin’ me up all night with upgrades and whatnot. i didn’t get as much done tonight as i would have liked, but oh well. tomorrow, i’m planning on working out after work and heading to mom’s to hang some. i haven’t been at my parents’ house in a while and it seems like my visits are far and few between. i’ve just been busier than i thought i would be. i think that alan is going to try to go to a community college next semester. mom’s been busy helping him get set up with that. i know that alan’s also trying to find a new job since he quit his other one the other week. dee dee seems to be doing okay… she had a check up appointment yesterday and to my knowledge, everything’s fine. mom’s been all into her little thing… when she calls me, she’s usually enlightening me on political things going on. she gets on to me that i don’t keep up with the news enough. and perhaps that’s true - but i just don’t carve out time in my day for such things. i see dad every day at work… he’s been really sweet to me lately. other than that, not much going on with the family.

this blasted heat has continued. and it’s not even august yet. i’m personally waiting for the cool of autumn, as i am a heat wimp. i love sweaters and jackets and that crisp feeling when you breathe in the morning air. yep… that’s the stuff.
